Questions have been raised about players who played for Bishop Sycamore and the lack of the much publicized D1 prospects who didn’t show up.īy the way was there ever a Bishop Sycamore in the Catholic Church? ESPN, IMG Academy, Paragon Marketing all get a black eye from this game…while Ohio football gets some bad press just by Bishop Sycamore claiming Ohio as home. There are so many questions and no answers in this entire mess. Ohio HS Football fans were scratching their heads today watching IMG Academy, a well known football factory school, take on Columbus based Bishop Sycamore…who in the world is that? IMG won 58-0 in a nationally televised game in Canton at the Hall of Fame. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. This is what happens when ESPN gets duped into airing a high school football game between the most talented team in the country and an online charter school nobody has heard of, went 0-6 last year, and lied about its roster to get on TV.
